AFFINITY PROTEOMICS IN THE AUSTRIAN ALPS

JOIN US FOR SCIENCE AND NETWORKING IN GREAT SCENERY

The Alpbach workshop is regarded as one of the best meetings on antibodies and other protein-binding molecules and their role in defining the proteome. The combination of excellent science with mountain scenery and winter sports creates an atmosphere that makes this series of workshops exceptional. Due to the unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances of the pandemic, we were unable to organise the meeting in the last couple of years, but now we are planning a much-awaited return!

Organising committee for 2024:
Mike Taussig (Cambridge), Claudia Fonseca (Cambridge), Fridtjof Lund-Johansen (Oslo), Jörg Hoheisel (Heidelberg), Peter Nilsson (Stockholm), Jochen Schwenk (Stockholm), Serge Muyldermans (Brussels), Andrew Bradbury (New Mexico).

The programme for 2024 is in preparation and will be announced in the near future. The programme topics will include:

- Complementarity of affinity and MS proteomics;
- Human Protein Atlas;
- Single cell analysis;
- Antibody structure, design, and selection;
- AI/ML and computation in antibody production;
- Validation of binding reagents;
- Nanobodies and protein scaffolds;
- Sensitive and multiplexed immunoassays;
- Antibody therapeutics in virus infections.

In the meantime, to provide a taste of the style of the meeting, speakers of the 9th workshop in March 2019 included many of the leading researchers from Europe, Canada, Israel and the USA. Read here for comments about the 2019 workshop, and for a review of the 2017 meeting here!
